Authorities Investigate Illegal Firearms in Forest Reserves

COLOMBO (News 1st): The Department of Forest Conservation has launched a special investigation into the presence of firearms in forest reserves.
The move follows an increase in the number of shootings targeting wild animals such as elephants.
Director General of Forest Conservation, Chandima Palamakumbura, said that several regional teams have been deployed to investigate the matter.
