Man Arrested for Illegally Importing High-Engine Bikes

COLOMBO (News 1st); A suspect has been arrested in the Hammaliya area of Wariyapola for allegedly importing three high-engine-capacity motorcycles into Sri Lanka illegally, bypassing customs duties.

Authorities also seized an unregistered motorcycle during the operation.

The arrest was made by a team of officials from the Kurunegala Division.

The suspect is a 24-year-old resident of Bandara , Koswatta. Investigations are currently underway to uncover further details regarding the motorcycle smuggling operation.
