Suspect Arrested Over Army Upul Killing

COLOMBO (News 1st):A suspect has been taken into custody for allegedly aiding and abetting the fatal shooting of a man known as "Ami Upul" in Batuwatta, Ragama.

According to police reports, officers from the Kelaniya Crimes Investigation Bureau apprehended the suspect on Vijitha Mawatha in Ragama. During the arrest, authorities seized 50 grams and 600 milligrams of heroin from the suspect’s possession.

The shooting occurred on the night of July 3rd and is believed to be linked to organized criminal activity. Investigations are ongoing to uncover further details and identify any additional individuals involved in the incident.
