US strikes will have "everlasting consequences": Iran's foreign minister

CNA - Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has strongly condemned the U.S. airstrikes on Iranian nuclear sites, calling the attacks a serious violation of international law.

In a social media post, Araghchi said the events this morning were "outrageous and will have everlasting consequences".

He added that the U.S. had committed a grave violation of the UN Charter, international law and the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty by attacking Iran's "peaceful nuclear installations".

"In accordance with the UN Charter and its provisions allowing a legitimate response in self-defence, Iran reserves all options to defend its sovereignty, interest, and people."
