Nearly 2,600 Houses and Buildings Damaged by Heavy Rains and Winds

COLOMBO (News 1st) - According to the Disaster Management Center, Heavy rains and strong winds have caused damage to nearly 2,600 houses and buildings, 

Of the total, 2,576 are cases of partial damage to houses, while six houses have been completely destroyed.

Eight business premises have also sustained damage.

The Disaster Management Center reported that the damage assessment process is underway.
