Constable Remanded in Courtroom Assassination Case

COLOMBO (News 1st): The Chief Magistrate of Colombo, Thanuja Lakmali, has ordered the remand of a police constable attached to the Negombo Police Station until March 7th. 

The constable was arrested in connection with the assassination of Ganemulle Sanjeewa.

Additionally, the magistrate granted permission for the police to detain and question the driver suspected of transporting the shooter to the Colombo Magistrate's Court.

The Colombo Crime Division presented both suspects in court this afternoon.
