COLOMBO (News 1st); The Third Review Under the Extended Fund Facility for Sri Lanka will be taken up by the Executive Board of the International Monetary Fund on the 28th of February 2025.
On November 23rd 2024, IMF staff and the Sri Lankan authorities reached a staff-level agreement on the Third Review of Sri Lanka's EFF program.
Once the third review is approved by the IMF's Executive Board, Sri Lanka will have access to about $333 million in financing.
In March 2023, the Executive Board of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) approved a 48‑month extended arrangement under the Extended Fund Facility (EFF) with an amount of SDR 2.286 billion (395 percent of quota or about US$3 billion).
