CAA to initiate Legal Action Against 30 Traders for Not Adhering to Controlled Price of Rice

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Consumer Affairs Authority says they will take legal action against 30 traders for selling rice at prices above the maximum retail price. 

These traders were identified during special operations carried out yesterday in Colombo, Pettah, Wellampitiya, Matale, Dambulla, Galewela, and Madawala. 

Continuous island-wide operations are underway to locate traders selling rice at higher prices.
