Special Sub-Committee Appointed to Identify Policy Changes in State Service

COLOMBO (News 1st) - A special sub-committee comprising 8 members has been appointed under the Ministerial Consultative Committee to identify necessary policy changes within the state service.

The decision was made during a recent meeting of the Ministerial Consultative Committee on Public Administration, Provincial Councils, and Local Government in Parliament, chaired by Minister A.H.M.H. Abayarathna.

The sub-committee will be chaired by Deputy Minister P. Ruwan Senarath, with members including Chandana Sooriyaarachchi, Ajantha Gammeddege, Dharmapriya Dissanayake, Dinindu Saman, Geetha Herath, Lal Premanath, and Muhammad Faisal.

The sub-committee is tasked with conducting investigations and identifying proposals to present to the Ministerial Consultative Committee regarding policy changes in appointments, conducting examinations, retirements, and handling vacancies of the state service.
