Ella Odyssey Ticket Scam: Suspect Arrested with 21 Tickets

COLOMBO (News 1st); A man involved in a scam selling train tickets to foreigners at inflated prices was arrested in the Suduhumpola area of Kandy. 

Police stated that the suspect is a 37-year-old individual. 

During the arrest, 21 train tickets for the Ella Odyssey train, obtained through online methods, were found in his possession. 

Additionally, the police seized Rs 130,670, suspected to be the earnings from the sale of these tickets. 

Further investigations regarding the suspect are being conducted by the Criminal Investigation Department.
