Health Authorities Warn of Risk of Respiratory Diseases Spreading Among Schoolchildren

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Health officials have raised concerns about the potential spread of respiratory diseases among students with the start of the new school year.

Dr. Channa de Silva, a specialist in pediatric respiratory diseases at Lady Ridgeway Hospital for Children, emphasized that various viral respiratory illnesses can spread in schools. 

He urged parents, teachers, and school officials to pay close attention to the health of students.

He also advised to implement preventive measures to reduce the risk of respiratory diseases.
