President Instructs Officials to Boost Sri Lanka's Tourism Appeal

COLOMBO (News 1st) - President Anura Kumara Dissanayake has instructed officials to swiftly implement plans to position Sri Lanka as an attractive destination for tourists. 

This directive was given during a discussion held today at the President's Office. 

The President emphasized the importance of strengthening efforts to promote the tourism industry, including increasing the efficiency of the "Clean Sri Lanka" program. 

The President's Media Division says that the goal is to position Sri Lanka as the most valuable and green island in Asia.

The discussion also focused on promoting tourism through environmental and cultural initiatives, with an emphasis on involving all stakeholders from both the formal and informal sectors in the country's tourism development.
