600 Raids Islandwide To Ensure Compliance of Regulations On The Sale of Rice

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Consumer Affairs Authority says approximately 600 raids related to rice have been conducted across Sri Lanka.
They confirmed that the investigations will continue.
Sri Lanka Customs confirmed that 35,600 metric tons of imported rice were released in recent days.
The time period during which import of rice was allowed has also been extended until January 10, 2025.
