667,240 Votes Rejected in Parliamentary Election

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The National Election Commission has reported that 667,240 votes, amounting to 5.65 percent, were rejected at this year's general election.
A total of 17,140,354 individuals were registered to vote, but only 11,815,246 cast their votes.
This means 5,325,108 registered voters did not participate in the election.
