Bribery Commission Reports 3,045 Complaints, 67 Arrests in Nine Months

COLOMBO (News 1st): The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption has received a total of 3,045 public complaints in the first nine months of the year.

Of these, the Commission has authorized investigations into 811 complaints.

According to the Commission, 67 suspects have been arrested during related operations, including 20 police officers.

Additionally, 620 of the complaints have been referred to other institutes due to their relevance not falling under the Bribery and Corruption Act.
