Cuba Pledges Support for Sri Lanka’s Dengue Eradication

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayake met with Andres Marcelo Gonzales Gorrido, the Cuban Ambassador, at the President's Office.

During the meeting, Ambassador Gonzales extended warm greetings to the new government and expressed Cuba's readiness to enhance cooperation with Sri Lanka. 

He reaffirmed the Cuban government's ongoing support for Sri Lanka's efforts to combat dengue, offering collaboration and expertise to strengthen public health initiatives aimed at eradicating the disease.

The discussions also focused on reinforcing the long-term diplomatic relations and the enduring friendship between the two nations.
