STF Nabs "Podi Lassi's" Kin with Foreign Pistol

COLOMBO (News 1st); A relative of the notorious organized crime figure "Podi Lassi" was arrested in Weliweriya.

The Special Task Force (STF) of the police reported that the suspect was found in possession of a foreign-manufactured pistol and six bullets.

Investigations revealed that the suspect, who had been hiding in Sri Lanka while using foreign phone numbers under the guise of residing abroad, was involved planning several other crimes.

The 42-year-old suspect was handed over to the Weliweriya Police for further legal action, according to the STF.
