University of Sri Jayawardenepura closed indefinitely after dispute between student groups

COLOMBO (News 1st): University of Sri Jayawardenepura has been closed indefinitely, due to a conflict between two groups of students that took place last night.

The Vice Chancellor of University of Sri Jayawardenepura, Prof. Pathmalal M. Manage, has instructed students to vacate the university premises by 6.00pm today.

Students residing at the university hostel were also instructed to leave the premises by 6.00pm today. 

Vice Chancellor Manage said that strict legal action will be taken against any student who remains at the university premises in violation of this order.
