Tuition Teachers Face Arrest For Influencing Presidential Election

COLOMBO (News 1st); As the presidential election approaches, a new controversy has emerged involving tuition teachers and their influence on students' voting behavior. 

Election Commissioner General Saman Sri Ratnayake has announced that certain tuition teachers have been found implementing unauthorized polling of students and releasing the results online. This act has raised serious concerns about undue influence on the electoral process.

In response to these incidents, the Election Commissioner General has informed the police, emphasizing the potential legal consequences for those involved. 

"There is a possibility of arresting suspected tuition teachers under the charge of undue influence regarding the election," Ratnayake stated.
