Special Security Measures for Ballot Delivery

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka Police have announced the implementation of special security arrangements to ensure the safe delivery of official ballot papers for the upcoming presidential election.

Police Media Spokesperson, DIG Nihal Thalduwa, confirmed that these security measures are focused on the district secretariats where election activities are being conducted.

In a significant move to maintain order and security during the election period, the police have also revealed that a total of 54,000 officers will be deployed for election duties.
