Election Commission to Deliver Polling Card Papers

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Election Commission has announced that the official Polling Cards for the upcoming presidential election will be delivered to the postal department today.

Chairman R.M.A.L. Ratnayake confirmed that a total of 17,140,354 Polling Cards are included in this delivery.

The chairman also stated that the Polling Cards will be handed over to the post by the Returning Officers at the District Secretariats.

The postal department has indicated that the distribution of the Polling Cards will commence tomorrow, with 8,000 postal employees assigned to this task.
