Namal Rajapaksa Highlights Political Responsibility and Unity at Habaraduwa Rally

COLOMBO (News 1st) - A public rally was held last night at the Bandaranaike Conference Hall in Habaraduwa to rally support for Namal Rajapaksa, the presidential candidate of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP).

During his speech, Namal Rajapaksa emphasized the fundamental role of politicians in serving the people.

He said: "We must remember that politicians exist because of the people. You choose us for our principles, not the other way around. Therefore, we have a responsibility to uphold that honor."

He highlighted the strength and unity of his supporters, describing them as the most potent political force in Sri Lanka today, under the leadership of SLPP. He reiterated his commitment to non-violent politics, underscoring that the country's challenges cannot be addressed by damaging the reputation of opposing platforms.
