Body of a woman found in a house in Nanneriya

COLOMBO (News 1st): A body of a woman was been found in a house in Nanneriya, Parikulam.

Police suspect the deceased had been murdered.

The police discoverd an axe in close proximity to the body.

The woman, a mother of three, was living alone at home and her son had alerted a neighbor to check on his mother as she was not answering his calls.

The neighbor had gone to the house of the woman and felt a strong odour emanating from the house.

Police suspect that the woman may have been murdered a few days ago.

Meanwhile, an unidentified body has been found at Mahaweli in Narangvita, Gampola.

The body is currently at the Gampola Hospital.
