SJB's Billion-Rupee Initiatives Revitalize Sri Lanka - Sajith

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sajith Premadasa, the presidential candidate of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB), declared that the opposition party has successfully implemented programs worth over a billion rupees, marking a historic first in Sri Lankan politics.

Premadasa recounted his visit to Tambuttegama in December 2022, where he donated a bus valued at Rs. 5 Mn. Despite facing criticism and being labeled as "bus man" shortly after the donation, Premadasa emphasized the unprecedented contributions of the SJB as an opposition party.

"For the first time in our democratic history, an opposition has actively served the country without any government support," Premadasa stated. "We have invested over a billion rupees in various initiatives, demonstrating our commitment to the nation's development."

Premadasa expressed his pride in the party's achievements and reaffirmed his dedication to strengthening Sri Lanka. "We will recover our motherland from the abyss. I am confident in our ability to bring about positive change," he said. "With the best, strongest, and smartest team in Sri Lankan politics, we are poised to lead the country towards a brighter future."

As the presidential election approaches, Premadasa called on the people of Anuradhapura district to support the SJB and its principles. "By the twenty-first of September, I am sure you will give us the strength to make the Premadasa principles victorious," he concluded.
