USS Spruance Arrives in Colombo for Replenishment Visit

COLOMBO (News 1st); The USS Spruance, an Arleigh Burke-class destroyer of the United States Navy, arrived at the port of Colombo today for a scheduled replenishment visit.



The Sri Lanka Navy extended a warm welcome to the vessel and its crew upon their arrival.



The USS Spruance, named after Admiral Raymond A. Spruance, is a formidable warship measuring 160 meters in length. 



It is equipped with advanced weaponry and state-of-the-art technology, making it a key asset in the U.S. Navy's fleet. 



The ship is manned by a crew of 338 personnel, all under the command of Commander Thomas Adams.



During its stay in Colombo, the USS Spruance will undergo essential replenishment operations. 



Following the completion of its replenishment activities, the USS Spruance is scheduled to depart Colombo on 20th August 2024.
