18-Hour Water Cut for Parts of Colombo

COLOMBO (News 1st); The National Water Supply and Drainage Board announced an 18-hour water cut affecting several areas in Colombo, starting from 9:00 PM tonight until 3:00 PM tomorrow. The affected areas include the jurisdictions of the Kolonnawa Municipal Council, the Kaduwela Municipal Council, as well as the local councils of Mulleriyawa and Kotikawatta. According to the Water Board, the interruption is necessary to conduct emergency maintenance on a crucial water pipe that supplies water from the Ambatale Water Treatment Plant.
