Water Supply Disruption in Kottawa, Piliyandala

COLOMBO (News 1st); The National Water Supply and Drainage Board has reported a disruption in water supply affecting areas such as Kottawa and Piliyandala.

According to Additional General Manager M.P.M. Rasil, the recent 15-hour water cut, which occurred last Saturday, along with the collapse of the water supply from the Kalatuwawa Water Treatment Plant, has contributed to the current situation.

Following the water cut on Saturday, efforts have been made to restore water supply in many areas.

However, some regions are still receiving water under low pressure.

The National Water Supply and Drainage Board assures residents that full restoration of water supply to the affected areas is expected by this evening.
