Bribery Commission investigates controversial drug purchases

COLOMBO (News1st); The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption said it launched a special investigation regarding the controversial drug purchases in recent days.

The Bribery Commission said investigations so far revealed that around Rs.300 million was misappropriated.

The Commission said the investigation was launched based on a complaint received in this regard.

Former Minister Keheliya Rambukwella and several Ministry officials were charged in relation to the incident.
