Heavy Showers Forecasted for Parts of Sri Lanka Today

Colombo (News 1st); The Met Department says that some places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa provinces as well as Galle and Matara districts may experience heavy rains of more than 75 mm today.

Meteorologist Janaka Kumara says that scattered rains may occur after 2pm in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, South, North Western and Uva provinces.

He also mentioned that a few places in the North central province may experience rain in the evening.
