SLFP to look into arbitrary appointments under Sirisena's chairmanship

COLOMBO (News1st); Acting General Secretary of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) MP Duminda Dissanayake said he will look into the arbitrary seat organizer appointments made under the chairmanship of Maithripala Sirisena.

He said the party's vacant seat organizer posts will be filled immediately.

The SLFP Politburo reached a decision on Thursday (25) to appoint a committee to investigate groups which faced injustices under Maithripala Sirisena's chairmanship.

MP Dissanayake said Minister Mahinda Amaraweera, Minister Lasantha Alagiyawanna, Weerakumara Dissanayake and Attorney Faiszer Musthapha were appointed to the committee, while he himself will chair the committee.
