Second round of applications for Aswesuma to begin in January

The Welfare Benefits Board has announced that applications for the second round of Aswesuma will begin in January. 

The first round of payments will be completed by December, Board member, Kamal Padmasiri said.

Aswesuma beneficiaries will receive their September payments by November 15th, and October payments will be made at the end of November.

Kamal Padmasiri also announced that the "Aswesuma" special week will commence tomorrow, focusing on regularizing the benefit program and addressing existing issues. 

This special week will run till the 11th.
