COLOMBO (News 1st) - The body of Anula Ratnayake, who died in Israel, was brought to the island on Saturday (28) morning on a flight belonging to Dubai Airlines.
Her family members and a group of officials from the Foreign Employment Bureau came to the airport to receive her body.
Anula Ratnayake was reported missing following the Hamas attack on Israel on the 7th of October.
Later, the country's Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that she had died during the military conflict.
Anula Ratnayake worked in Israel for 10 years.
She was a 49-year-old mother of two and a resident of Eriyawetiya in Kelaniya.
