PHI's Union launch trade union action

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Public Health Inspectors' Union has launched a trade union action citing several concerns including the failure to increase their transport allowances.
Union Secretary S.I. Bopitiya says that about 2,400 officers will participate in the trade union action.
He adds that however, the PHI Union will refrain from staging their demonstrations at the the National Cancer Institute or the Apeksha Hospital in Maharagama and the Lady Ridgeway Hospital for Children in Ragama.
