R.M.A.L. Rathnayake appointed Chairman of the Election Commission

COLOMBO (News 1st); R.M.A.L. Rathnayake has been appointed as the new Chairman of the Election Commission.
The appointment was made by President Ranil Wickremesinghe.
R.M.A.L. Rathnayake had previously served as an assistant commissioner at the Election Commission.
Retired Supreme Court Justice L.T.B. Dehideniya has been appointed as the chairman of the Human Rights Commission of Sri Lanka.
The Appointment was made by the President based on the recommendations made by the Constitutional Council.
