AQI improves to moderate levels

COLOMBO (News 1st): The Air Quality Index in urban areas has improved significantly on Sunday (Dec. 11), the National Building Research Organisation (NBRO) pointed out. 

The Real-time Air Quality Index (AQI) of Colombo as of 8:00 AM on Sunday (11) is at 89, which is categorized as Moderate. 

According to the NBRO, 51 -100 range indicates that the air quality is acceptable; however, for some pollutants there may be a moderate health concern for a very small number of people who are unusually sensitive to air pollution.
