Drug trafficker shot and wounded in Meetiyagoda

COLOMBO (News 1st) - A drug trafficker was injured in a shooting in Meetiyagoda on Monday (21) afternoon, and was admitted to the Balapitiya Hospital.
Sri Lanka Police said that a weapon discharged when a team from the Meetiyagoda Police attempted to arrest a drug trafficker.
The suspect will be transferred to the Karapitiya Teaching Hospital, later in the day.
