COLOMBO (News 1st); The price of a Kottu has increased once again , says Asela Sampath, the President of Restaurant Owners Association.
The President of the Restaurant Owners Association, said that the price increase was carried out due to the increase in wheat flour prices and the existing shortage of wheat flour.
Accordingly, he said that the price of a kottu has increased by Rs. 100 yesterday, and other food, such as rolls, parata and roti have increased by Rs. 10-15.
Stating that this is a dire issue, Sampath requested to impose a maximum retain price on these items, in addition reducing the price of essential items such as gas.
