Liquor stores using unjust sales methods

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Excise Department on Friday (19) said that local liquor stores are engaged in unjust sales methods by not prioritizing the requirements of their customers.

It said that liquor stores are engaged in the sales of products that would benefit their sales.

Deputy Excise Commissioner Kapila Kumarasinghe said that all liquor stores should maintain the minimum stock of all types of local liquor products.

Further, Kapila Kumarasinghe said that from the 1st of September, investigations will be conducted all over the island in this regard.
