COLOMBO (News 1st); The Sri Lankan Supreme Court has decided to issue notice on Former President Gotabaya Rajapaksa to appear in court on the 1st of August and make submissions with regard to the petition filed calling for an investigation against those responsible for leading the country and the people into bankruptcy.
A five-judge bench of the Supreme Court decided to name Former President Gotabaya Rajapaksa as a private respondent to the said applications.
The applications were called up in the presence of Chief Justice Jayantha Jayasuriya, Justices Buwaneka Aluvihare, Priyantha Jayawardena, Vijith Malalgoda, and L. T. B. Dehideniya.
