Colombo (News 1st): The Ministry of Education has announced its decision on the functioning of schools from 27th June to the 1st of July.
Rural and outstation schools with zero transport issues that functioned from 20th to 24th June will operate without any change.
Teachers with transportation issues in the said schools should be given flexible timetables by the principal, without penalising their holidays.
Urban schools that did not open last week, must reopen for in-person academic activities on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 7:30 AM to 1:30 PM.
The Education Ministry said the Principals of Urban schools have been authorized on the functioning of primary grades.
It added that the schools must introduce online teaching, homework, and home-based practical sessions for the days that schools remain closed.
