Occupy Galle Face Protest continues

COLOMBO (News 1st); The people who gathered near the President's Office in Colombo are continuing their protest demanding the resignation of the President and the Government.

On the 9th of April 2022, thousands of Sri Lanka converted to Galle Face demanding the resignation of the President, Prime Minister, and the Government blaming them for economic mismanagement, corruption, and other malpractices.

Sri Lanka has been experiencing a shortage of fuel, cooking gas, medicines, as well as other essential commodities for several months, due to a serious foreign reserve crisis.

This has forced many Sri Lankans to step out onto the streets demanding solutions from the government.
