COLOMBO (News 1st); The Government will lose majority in Parliament, warns former Minister Wimal Weerawansa.

Representatives of 11 political parties including Wimal Weerawansa, Udaya Gammanpila, Vasudeva Nanayakkara, Gevindu Kumaratunga, Tiran Alles and Prof. Rohana Lakshman Piyadasa met with the Mahanayake's of the Asgiri and Malwathu Chapters of the Siam Sect.

Former Minister Udaya Gammanpila, speaking to the Mahanayake of the Malwathu Chapter, stated that the agreements signed with India and China are not transparent as they were not presented to the Cabinet beforehand.

Former Minister Wimal Weerawansa also stated that the Government will lose its majority once 12 more Ministers leave it, which will spur the Finance Minister Basil Rajapaksa to leave the country.

He said that there is a fair amount of suspicion whether the IMF support that the Government is due to receive is another extension of the American diplomatic agenda.

The condition which the people have fallen is also regrettable, the Mahanayakes stated.
