Sri Lankan fishermen protest against Indian encroachment

COLOMBO (News 1st); The All Ceylon Fisheries Federation protested opposite the Fisheries Ministry in Colombo on Tuesday (8) demanding a solution to the never-ending encroachment of Indian fishermen into the Sea of Sri Lanka.,

A heated exchange was witnessed during the protest when the fishermen attempted to enter the ministry premises to meet with the fisheries minister.

Following a tense standoff, 5 representatives were allowed to meet with the minister and raise their concerns.
