Philippines islands hit by tropical storm 'Rai'

(News 1st); A tropical storm named 'Rai' made journey at the sea on the holiday island of Siargao in Philippines on Thursday (16) bringing winds of about 195km/h (120mph) and heavy rainfall.

Philippines tourist island, Siargao were among the areas hit by the storm.

Furthermore, officials stated that a popular tourist island in Southern Philippines was among areas left wrecked after a dynamic storm forced through the southern Philippines.

The tropical storm has levelled homes on around the country along its path, displacing hundreds and thousands of people in the Philippines.
