COLOMBO (News 1st); Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan says that on behalf of the Nation, he wants to salute the moral courage and the bravery of the colleague of the deceased who was subjected to the mob lynching in Sialkot, Malik Adnan.

In a tweet, the Pakistani PM says that he also salutes the bravery of Adnan who tried his utmost to shelter and save Priyantha Diyawadana from the vigilante mob in Sialkot by endangering his own life by physically trying to shield the victim.

Moreover, the Pakistani PM Khan says that the nation will also award him the Tamgha-i-Shujaat, a state-organised honour of Pakistan for his bravery.

According to the website Dawn.com,  the colleague can be heard telling the mob that Kumara is a non-Muslim and "didn't know what was written on the paper".

Moreover, the colleague had tried to shield Kumara with his body, who clung to the man's legs, however the workers had later overpowered the colleague and dragged the Sri Lankan out on the road and tortured him with kicks, stones and iron rods. The mob had then set the body on fire.
