(PICTURES) Sandahiru Seya adorned with precious Chudamanikya

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Sandahiru Seya built in Anuradhapura was adorned with a precious Chudamanikya today (8).

The sacred stone was placed on the pinnacle of the stupa at the auspicious time of 9:53 AM and it is 3/12 feet tall, weighing up to 67 kg.

The height of Sadahiru Seya with the Chudamanikya is 282 feet and 6 inches.

The construction of the stupa is being carried out by the Tri-Forces and the Civil Defense Force.

The Buddhists in Sri Lanka and all over the world will be able to pay their homage to the Sadahiru Seya after it is officially offered to the Buddha Sasana on the 18th of this month.
