COLOMBO (News 1st): SLPP Matara District Parliamentarian Nipuna Ranawaka states that the 'hybrid lockdown' system imposed by Sri Lanka is one that is unique to the country, at a time when the world has conceded to the fact that a full lockdown is not practical.
"The country needs a hybrid lockdown where measures will be taken to curb the spread of COVID-19 with travel restrictions in place, while the economy continues to grow," he said.
He points out that the country can continue to operate in a number of economically important sectors even when the country is closed through its unique hybrid lockdown system.
