03rd COVID wave claimed 2,627 lives so far - NOCPCO

COLOMBO (News 1st); The 03rd COVID wave in Sri Lanka has so far claimed 2,627 lives, said the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) on Monday (05).

Since the 15th of April 2021 (03rd Wave) a total of 166,287 COVID-19 cases were reported in Sri Lanka.

From the 11th of March 2020 to the 03rd of October 2020 (01st Wave) only 13 people died of COVID-19.

596 people died of COVID-19 from the 04th of October 2020 to the 14th of April 2021 (02nd Wave), said the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).
