Tusker knocked down by train a month ago, dies

COLOMBO (News 1st); A tusker that was knocked down by a moving train in Vavuniya died while receiving treatment on Friday (11).

Wildlife Officers were treating the wild elephant for almost a month.

On Thursday (10), a backhoe loader was used to raise the wild elephant from the muddy pit in order to commence treatment using indigenous medicine.
