Colombo (News 1st); A special traffic plan will be in place around the St. Anthony's Shrine in Kochchikade, Colombo from 04 PM on Tuesday (20) to noon on Wednesday (21), said Sri Lanka Police.
This special traffic plan will be in place due to the special mass which will take place at St. Anthony's Shrine, Sri Lanka Police added. The vehicular movement will be restricted to and from the St. Anthony's Shrine from the Jinthupitiya Round-about along St. Anthony's Mawatha. The vehicular movement will also be restricted to and from the St. Anthony's Shrine from the Hettiyawatte Junction along Ramanathan Mawatha. The vehicular movement will be restricted to and from the St. Anthony's Shrine from the Jampettah Street Police Station to Christy Perera Mawatha. Sri Lanka Police requested motorists to use alternative routes to avoid any delays and inconvenience. Vehicles traveling from Hettiyawatte Junction to Pettah can use George R. De Silva Mawatha, Christy Perera Mawatha, and Sangamitta Mawatha. Vehicles traveling from Pettah to Hettiyawatte Junction can use Reclamation Road, China Street, Gas Works Junction, Aduruppu Street, Maha Vidyalaya Mawatha, and George R. De Silva Mawatha.
